The new Freer Bass Drum Muffler features a well padded
muffling platform and a neck strap to allow for expressive
phrasing while using two mallets. The Hands-Free Muffler firmly
clamps to the drum rim at two points with rubber mounting
strips while the platform itself has enough weight to stay
on the head at louder dynamics. Adjust the strap around your
neck and as you lean back, the platform lifts off the head
allowing longer sustain. The muffler can also be used in traditional
one mallet playing position allowing the free hand to control
tone duration with the open neck strap.
