This is a perfect daily "go to" mallet. Tom feels,
“There is nothing else like it.” It has very tight
felt, a very clear sound, and is extremely well balanced and
easy to play. Also recommended in pairs for rhythm and rolling.
About FREER Bass Drum Mallets
These mallets were designed to fill the gap in the
orchestral bass drum mallet market. They are designed to be
heavier and more substantial in feel than other mallets currently
available. With coverings that are sewn on more tightly and
evenly, they produce less "slap" or "contact" sound in addition
to producing a quick sound projection from the drum. Their
size and weight proportions make them easy to maneuver without
being too big and bulky. Glenn F. Smith, percussionist and
